On 28th July the Rotary Club of Kew in association with the Rotary Club of Rhodes, and our Club, held a Greek Tavern Night fundraising dinner at Yiannis Tavern in Kew East, to assist with much needed medical aid for Kastellorizo. With only 145 places available it quickly sold out. Several thousands of dollars were raised,
The function was in support of the purchase of urgent medical equipment and supplies required by the Doctor on Kastellorizo for the treatment of locals, tourists and refugees facing medical emergencies. Funds will be distributed through the Rotary Club of Rhodes. To facilitate distribution of funds, according to needs, George Verginis, Rotarian and KAV member, visited Rhodes and Kastellorizo soon after the event. He met with Rotary officials and the resident doctors on Kastellorizo to discuss prioritising of needs and funds dispersement,
