“Let’s Celebrate the Boukla”
Boukla: The ancient word fibula, meaning clasp or brooch, was referred to as a boukla on the island of Kastellorizo. A boukla is a timeless jewellery piece, plated in either gold or silver and was traditionally worn by the women of Kastellorizo as part of their costume, and also a means of taking valuables with them quickly as a result of the many invasions of the island. It is quite a significant piece of jewellery. If you are lucky enough to possess one, wear it!

Pantelis Krestas
Pantelis Krestas is a first generation Australian bouzouki player of Greek descent, who has been involved in the Greek music industry for over 20 years, here in Australia and abroad. Krestas has had a varied musical career, supporting renowned international acts on stage, composing and performing in live theatre productions, playing in local wedding bands, performing bouzouki for recording artists, and touring with bands internationally.
